7 Ways To Stay Connected

by Mar 30, 2020

There are unique times, as you know. At Harbor West, we’re looking for ways to stay connected, both to God and to each other. Here are 7 helpful recommendations for staying connected during self-isolation.

Harbor Youth Group
Our middle and high schoolers will still have the opportunity to meet up once a week over Zoom. They’ll spend time studying God’s Word and praying together, and generally just checking to see how each other are doing. Please send us an email if you’d like your middle or high schooler to jump in on this: CLICK HERE.

Keiki Story Time
Once a week we’ll have an auntie or uncle read a story to our young keiki. This is geared toward preschool and early elementary keiki. We’ll be meeting over Zoom for this, so that it can be a bit interactive. Please send us an email if you’d like to join us for story time! Email HERE

Dwell App
You have access to an amazing app for listening to the Bible. It’s called Dwell, and right now it’s FREE if you sign up through our church. Even if we’re not the church you typically worship at, if you’re reading this and want to listen to God’s Word read in dynamic ways, you can sign up. Click HERE to get Dwell for free!

Right Now Media
We also got a gift for everyone in our church: a FREE subscription to Right Now Media. Think of it as the Netflix of Christian content. There are great videos for kids, youth, Bible studies, and themed studies on thinks like marriage and parenting (you know, things you need to be watching now that you’re trapped with your family 24/7!). You’re invited to sign up HERE.

Marriage Meet Up
All married or dating couples are invited to meet up with us at 8pm on Saturday nights. We’ll be interacting with each other over Zoom with the goal of encouraging each other to be loving our spouse well during this time. One unique opportunity this has given many of us is some extra time to invest in our marriages. So take the opportunity and spend time learning, praying, and growing together as a couple! Email us if you’d like to join: HERE

Harbor West Mixer
One thing many of us are missing is just talking story. So we created a page to do that as a church ohana. If you want to talk about what your top 5 movies are, your favorite ice cream flavor, and learn those random facts about others in our church community, join our Harbor West Mixer on Facebook

Connection Calendar
Below this post is a picture of our connection calendar for this week. These are all opportunities that you have to be connected with our church community. Even if you’ve never visited us on a Sunday morning before, and don’t know anyone in our church, you’re still invited to join in our church community. It’s a bit different over Zoom than if you visited us on a Sunday morning, but that’s ok. We’re just a community of people who love Jesus, love each other, and love West Oahu. So please connect with us if you’d like!

If there are any ways that we can be praying for you or meet any practical needs that you have, please email us HERE
